This Water Monitor was just starting to cross the road when we came in the car. We stopped and it slowly crossed the road, then turned around and went back again.

Habitat:

Seen crossing the road through a mud puddle near the Mbuluzi River.

thanks Viv, Kate and Smith's Zoo. It was a great day. Usually they just rush away, but this one walked across the road, turned round and walked slowly back.
