Crimson Queen

Family: Aceraceae Genus: Acer Species: A. Palmatum Var: Dissectum "Crimson Queen"

Description:

A small tree usually growing to about 10 feet tall, its leaves are much thinner than most other maples and it keeps its red coloration year round.

Habitat:

This is a cultivated variant of the standard Japanese Maple native to Japan, Korea, China and Mongolia. It requires plenty of sun and water, and doesn't do well in dry climates.
