Spotting

Description:

I've been spotting a few of these faintly purple damselflies over the past several weeks. My guess is a teneral variable dancer, but I only ever see them looking freshly emerged--I have yet to see a mature-looking variable dancer. The pond is full of orange bluets at the moment, with a few forktails and a few of these. I thought it might be a teneral bluet since I'm not observing adult dancers, but this one holds its wings in more of a dancer position.

Habitat:

Spotted at Beaver Lake in Shelby Farms Park. I usually see these coming up out of the grass, and they flit from grass to trees. Haven't seen any of them at water.
