Gray langur or Hanuman langur

Semnopithecus entellus

Description:

The most widespread langurs of South Asia, are a group of Old World monkeys constituting the entirety of the genus Semnopithecus. Gray langurs are large and fairly terrestrial, inhabiting forest, open lightly wooded habitats, and urban areas on the Indian subcontinent.

Habitat:

Banks of river Ganga in the foothills of Shivalik.

Notes:

The one standing on two feet in the third picture was very bold. He came up to our car. My brother put his hand on the door glass. The langur imitated him and touched his hand through the glass. It was very amusing. :)
