There are lots of Amanita species from North America which are very similar looking to A. caesarea. But from this picture I couldn't even be sure it is an Amanita.
Even though wiki shows this as a European mushroom, David Arora, in Mushroom's Demystified states that it is widespread in the US as well. He states that it is safely edible due to not looking like any of the other amanitas, however, he adds that it isn't that tasty.
Me? I'd avoid it unless you had an expert confirm the edibility, as most Amanitas are toxic
