Trientalis borealis
One or more fragile white flowers, star-shaped with 5-9 (usually 7) pointed petals on thread-like stalks; typically 7 stamens with golden anthers. Leaves 1½-4" (4-10 cm) long, shiny, lanceolate, in a single whorl of 5-10.
Sub-alpine mountaintops; rich woods and bogs
