Water bird, long legs, long neck, gray white feathers,
Definitely a great blue, as far as I know the other heron that's confusable with this is the grey heron, but that's in Europe.
Definitely a Great Blue Heron! Shades in color vary and I believe they also vary between the sexes.
We have them in Florida and they range from greyish blue to more bluish blue. Going by head I am pretty sure it is Ardea herodias
I thought it was a heron but we have great blues in ohio and they are much bluer.
