Description:

External-earless piniped (there's a hole for the ear), gray/white with darker spots, that hauls out on sandspits and on rocks at low tide.

Habitat:

Mid-Oregon coast.

Notes:

This one was spotted in the Oregon Coast Aquarium, but they can be commonly spotted on the sand spit and low-tide sand bars of the Alsea Bay and at Seal Rock.
