Description:

Highly variable in color and pattern, depending in part on how warm the animal is.

Habitat:

Found in grove of cottonwood and elm trees. Surrounding habitat is very dry shortgrass prairie.

Notes:

This reptile is also known as a "Prairie Lizard" or "Plateau Lizard."
