White Lily of the Nile

Agapanthus sp.

Description:

This single plant blooms only once a year in May and June. I wait all year to see it bloom. It is the warmest time of the year and the beginning of the rainy season.

Habitat:

Garden, semi-urban area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Notes:

It is called Lily of the Nile although it is not a lily and is native to Africa.
