This guy was moving in slow. And crept away slow. Not sure what he is salamander or newt but he froze like a statue and was hanging out with some giant banana slugs!

Hi it looks to me like a salamander, as you can see by its tail it can swim now, a meet doesn't have a tail like that,and it usually takes a few years for them to change, hope this was helpful :)
