Description:

Taken in Plainfield Illinois on Sunday April 20 near a pound.

Habitat:

On the spring and summer, the Monarch butterfly's can be found in open fields and meadows with milkweed. In the winter they can be found on the coast of Southern California and at high altitudes in central Mexico.

Notes:

In hotter temperatures their spots are lighter and in colder temperatures their spots are darker to keep them warm.
