Description:

Medium small sized dragonfly. Brown with dark stripes on the abdomen. White stripes on the "shoulders". Small dark area on the wings where they meet the body. Teneral (immature) males and females are this color.

Habitat:

Sears Bellows County Park, New York. Next to Bellows Pond, landed repeatedly on the ground.

This individual is a young male, as indicated by its partial pruinosity and by its terminal appendages. (Good idea to shoot a close-up of the tip of the abdomen!)
