Description:

Large bird with white and black flight feathers and tail, head and neck bare and dark grey.

Habitat:

Swamps and mangroves mostly resident of FL and Ga, very rarely elsewhere along the coast from SC to TX.

Notes:

I took these pics with my iPhone at a small lake next to the Goose Creek Town Hall and Police Station. Off to the side is a swampy area where these 4 birds were feeding around 730am. a culvert empties water from the lake into the swamp.
