Chlorophyllum rhacodes
Easily confused with the tosic summer mushroom Chlorophyllum molybdites, rhacodes has white spores and a dark brown button that breaks into large shaggy "scales" and is a choice edible. Thus I was pleased and surprised to find this patch sprouting this summer during a cool spell
