Brown Anole

Anolis sagrei

Description:

A long, slender, brown lizard, males reach 20 cm (8 in) long, females are smaller. Males have yellowish spots on the back, a ridge down the center of its back, and an orange to pale-yellow, white-edged dewlap or throat flap.

Habitat:

Large swamp.

Notes:

Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary.

Nice shot with him showing his warning colors. I have a Brown Anole also, but I didn't even realize they could do this until well after I took that shot....
