Pseudoxenetus regalis

Description:

Small insect, dark reddish-brown coloration with a distinctive white, squarish spot on the center of the back. White stripe on the abdomen. Appears to have very short wings(?). Legs yellowish. Ant mimic.

Habitat:

Sears Bellows County Park, New York. Wooded campground.

Notes:

The little light specks are pine pollen.
