Box turtle

Notes:

Excited to see another turtle in our little front yard habitat. Since putting in several ponds over 3 years, we've seen 2 box turtles just this year. I'm not sure if this is the same one, as I haven't tried to compare shell patterns. Planning to try that! It appears in one photo to have burrowed under the leaf debris, under a sago palm. I don't know if it may be laying eggs...???
