Contopus cooperi
beautiful song
coniferous forest at about 800m on edge of old ski runs
Good to know. Will check on its status here in British Columbia.
Has declined throughout much of its range. It is a Bird Species of Special Concern in California, and a species of concern in Washington. Back in the 1990s, I detected quite a few in the Coast Range of northern California during murrelet surveys.
