Description:

Pan-tropical shrub native to native to southern India, Sri Lanka, Indomalaya and western Pacific islands. Used as ornamentation and hedges. As its name implies, it comes in a wide variety of forms. Habitat:

Planted as per local custom as a boundry marker (for a drainage ditch) in my wild semi-urban yard & garden. This location is in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
