Sandhill Milkweed

Asclepias humistrata

Habitat:

Species was located along the edge of a paved road of a County nature Preserve at the edge where the limerock for the foundation for the road meets the sandy soil of the scrub oak habitat left for the parking area for the patrons of the Preserve. This is a second plant observed, the other being only slightly north of this one along the edge of the same exit road.
