Fritillaria

Fritillaria meleagris

Description:

I thought it was a tulip, but the nearest I came was it comes from a bulb. I have never seen a flower with such a unique pattern. Looks like a tulip, but has a thinner stalk.

Habitat:

Rocky hillside of PA.

Notes:

This is from my Son's garden (Ken Martin) and he has given me permission to use his picture. I do not know the common name.
