Lycosidae
Nycole Taliaferro May 6, 2014 Found: Woods outside of home The Wolf Spider is an ambush spider and does not produce webs to catch its prey unlike other spiders. You can tell that it is a Wolf Spider because of the violin shaped makings on its abdomen. Wolf spider males actually do a dance to impress females before mating with them.
