Description:

Solitary or multi. yellow daisy-Like flower head bloom on stalks, this one approx 22" long. Flower head 4cm wide, w/8 rays which each May have one notch at tip. Leaves are lancet, top slightly hairy, bottoms not & lighter green, longest 6cm long. 6 leaves whorled on stem. Stem is all green & angular. Flowered 6/25/13. A singular plant no Basel leaves.

Habitat:

Red clay soil on hillside in Cushing Memorial Park in Canton, Ga 30114. Across from Dock 7

Notes:

LL, thanks for your suggestions ! None of my 3 tomes include your specific suggestions, but your "Reference Link" only refs. 3 or 4 whirled leaves, not like mine of usually 6 but sometimes 5 leaves...?
