Description:

The genus "Pinus" comprises more than 100 species with great potential to be explored. In Brazil, species of this genus have been planted for more than a century, having been initially introduced for ornamental purposes. Only in the 1960s is that began planting pine on a commercial scale, especially in the South and Southeast of Brazil.

Habitat:

I found this specimen in a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.
