A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Jatropha gossypiifolia
This is a shrub very common in Kuttanad. Its fruits are as big or small as peanuts. I was tempted to fry them and eat it. The color of its leaves display different share from green to red. Out-competes native vegetation. Takes over extensive sections of river frontage reducing biodiversity. Poisonous to native animals.
