Karen,a phenomenon very similar to this spotting

Initially I thought it was a lady bug only to find out that it was a scale insect.The diff seems to be that I spotted it on a branch and it was accompanied by a sticky secretion too.In this scale insect,reproduction is via Parthenogenesis
