Canada Anemone

Anemone canadensis

Description:

A flower with 5 white petal-like sepals and a yellow center, each flower sits on a single, long hairy stalk. Long-stalked, coarsely toothed basal leaves are deeply divided into 3 narrow segments.

Habitat:

Spotted on Hwy 29 near North Tamarac Lake. It grows in wet meadows.

Notes:

It is also called the Canada Windflower.
