Giant Water Bug

Lethocerus Americanus

Description:

Big round black eyes, body is pale greenish yellow in color and slightly translucent. It has three stripes on its back, white, green, and white. It appears to have wings. It has two short front legs and four long back legs. It is shaped like a feather and is 2.5 cm long. It recently molted its skin.

Habitat:

Wetlands at RIT.
