Branta canadensis maxima
It is a goose with a black neck and head. It has white spots and a brown body. Depending on gender they can vary anywhere between 5 - 14 lbs and about 3 - 4 feet.
In fair weather months the Canada geese live and breed in Canada or on the American northern border. In winter they will migrate south. They also have a large population in the great lake area. Some flocks live permanently in Chesapeake Bay and British Columbia. In general they live often by retention ponds or parks.
