white-throated kingfisher

Description:

..its been a few days now, that I have been observing a white-throated kingfisher perched on my gate...appearing very engrossed in some observation..!!!..:).. As it turns out..this is the base camp from where quick sorties are made to grab snacks - grasshoppers that have arrived with the monsoons to feed on the fresh greens all over the place...!!..
