Grey Goshawk

Accipiter novaehollandiae

Description:

This is the White Goshawk (white morph of the Grey Goshawk). I believe it's a young male.

Notes:

This goshawk regularly visits our yard and sits on the higher perches watching our neighbour's aviary (canaries and quails), and occasionally swooping.

Thanks! Yeah, we're lucky being so close to the water, seems to bring a variety of bird life.

Lucky you. We've only had one once. They prefer to stay near water.
