ah yes, I see what you are saying. I am thinking it may be the same thing but that maybe a juvenile is darker perhaps. I will try to find some more around and see if there are differences.

Yes, there is one introduced species of gecko, and this one you have pictured here does not look like it. I'm not saying it isn't it, but the Mediterranean Gecko is not normally dark like this. Here is the Mediterranean Gecko in Louisiana http://www.louisianaherps.com/mediterran...

This is not a pet. There are geckos all over central louisiana. I do not remember seeing any as a kid but they are everywhere now. This one is young. They can get around 4 inches long. I've found some in dark hot sheds with eggs.

Hi Paul, is this your pet? Or can you give us some information about it please? There are no native geckos to Louisiana, and there is one introduced species and this is not it. So if this was not your pet, then it was someone else's released pet.
