Sierran Treefrog (froglets & tadpoles)

Pseudacris sierra

Description:

Sierran Treefrog is the most common of the species of treefrogs in California. The range spreads wide from the top to two thirds down the state. Showing here that the color does not just depend on location. All of these metamorphs came out of the same pond. The color ranges from brown to green. Some with a pattern showing more then the others.

Habitat:

These were spotted in a very muddy pond on top high hill.

Notes:

I saw the tadpoles first and I tried to step closer to get a better shot, these froglets started jumping all around my feet.
