Grandaddy Long-Legs

Opiliones sp.

Notes:

These spiders remind me of what we call "grandaddy long legs". They are always congregated in this spot. It is the top of a pipe where water flows into a small pond. The little kids always get excited seeing them. Lol. The week before this group was just all brown, this time they had white spots on their legs.

LuckyLogan, thanks for the scientific name. I'd love to find the exact name, but I'm too much of a spider phobe to do the research. Lol

You are right, they are called daddy long-legs here in the U.S. but they are called harvestmen (Opiliones) everywhere else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWASwBWy... here a video of a large mass of them. It makes me feel like they are crawling on me just watching.
