Description:

The females have a grey/black pattern with distinctive stripes on the thorax. The stripes are more spot like than those of the Flesh fly. Up to 10mm in length. The female’s wings are only yellow towards the base.

Habitat:

Forest edge on a Canadian goldenrod.
