Description:

These beautiful damselflies usually last in their adult stage for a few weeks to a few months. After they emerge from the nymph stage they have a bronze green abdomen and part of the thorax, this gets darker with age. The top of the thorax would be a bronze red color. The eyes become a dark red. The wings are clear to a dark color veins and at the base of the wings dark to blood red color. They are timid and hard to hold still. Usually found by the waters edge hanging around plants near the edge.

Habitat:

Slow moving to still water.
