Ludwigia adscendens
In a little pond, beside a church, surrounded by pastures, in the middle of rural America. Ludwigia is a genus of about 75 species of aquatic plants, many of which are similar. I think I have it right, definitely Ludwigia. But the species ID? Would have been easier if I'd caught them in bloom. Maybe.
