Two-spotted Bumble Bee

Bombus bimaculatus

Description:

This yellow and black bumble bee has two distinctive black spots on the abdomen. workers are about 11-15 mm in length.

Habitat:

I found this bumblebee feeding on a clethera in our suburban yard. It flew from the clethera to this lilac leaf, probably to warm up in the sun.
