Lesser Periwinkle

Vinca minor

Description:

This looks like vinca minor. It was small, a few inches long, which fits the lenght of vinca minor, 4-6 inches long. Also known as the dwarf periwinkle, vinca minor has 5 soft petals and a star-shaped stamen. The leaves also match the vinca minor shape. They are a bit skinnier than vinca major.

Habitat:

My yard

Notes:

Also known as the dwarf periwinkle. I also would like confirmation that it is vinca minor and not vinca major

Well, i'm not sure. variegated periwinkle, vinca major has the same kind of leaves mine has. But the petals look a bit bigger. Whereas vinca minor looks like it might have different leaves but similar petals. I'm going to do a bit more research.
