A large bright orange Zigzag patterned ladybird beetle found on Acacia. Also called the Tasmanian ladybird, they seem darker further south. This pattern is quite variable.
On Acacia. South Eastern Australia.

Yes the transverse is a lot more common here but I love this bigger one.
Good to know. By the way, the NOAH spotting you linked to below is one of mine. The We have a Lady beetle in Tasmania with broken stripes, called the Transverse Ladybird http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/311... That was what first came to mind when I saw this spotting.
