Description:

Honey bee covered in pollen from the butterfly bush.

Habitat:

Backyard garden on coneflower; it had previously been gathering pollen from the butterfly bush.

Notes:

Honey bees are very scarce in the garden this year. Honey Bee populations are dwindling due to Colony Collapse Disorder and have been dwindling since 2006. Honey Bees are vital to pollination of food crops.
