Rosa acicularis
Rosa acicularis is a deciduous shrub. They are very high in vitamin C. (A better source than orange juice) People make tea with rose "hips". Fun Fact: The wild rose is Iowa's state flower, adopted in 1897.
I saw this on at Viewpoint's ecolet, but the usually grow in meadows and wind breaks because rose bushes are in a group that stick together and live in dry sandy places.
