Vampyressa pusilla
This specimen was caught in an orchard, in a region of an environmental reserve of Atlantic Forest.
Some friends of mine are doing some researches of bats, then I help a little. The "Vampyressa pusilla" have a frugivorous diet.

Thanks for letting me know "LisaPowers"! And thanks for the congrats too...
Congrats! This spotting is being featured as a PN Fun Fact!
Project Noah Fun Fact: Bats belong to the order Chiroptera, meaning hand-winged. There are two main groups the Megachiroptera that use sight to guide their flight, and the Microchiroptera that use echolocation. In general (there are always exceptions), the Megachiroptera are frugivores while the Microchiroptera are carnivores (mostly insectivores).
Super opportunity "Marta RubioTexeira"... I had a great big luck to can join and help with the researches.
Nice opportunity to see them from close! :-)
Have much species of Fruit Bats... Don't worry ;)
I can see why. These and also fruit bats (not sure of their scientific name)
Oh "BeccaYonev", yes, very much!
And, believe me, much of mammalogists think that the "Vampyressa pusilla" are one of the most "cute species" of bats...
Adorable!
