Description:

A 5mm long female spittle bug with lime green head and thorax resting next to a spittle tube.

Habitat:

Young Eucalyptus tree

Notes:

The spittle tubes are built by nymphs of these insects. The nymphs live inside the tubes in liquid secretions. Most tubes on this tree were filled with liquid. The males are black all over. Family Clastopteridae
