Oriental Bittersweet

Celastrus orbiculatus

Description:

Originally introduced as an ornamental plant, this aggressive growing vine has become quite invasive in many areas. It has green, rounded leaves that are finely toothed. Clusters of tiny green flowers are produced along the stems. Bright orange seeds are enclosed in yellow pods that break open in the fall.

Habitat:

Suburban yard.
