Helix pomatia L(Puž Vinogradar)
Snail lungwort (Pulmonata), the name of one of the approximately 4,000 species. In central and southern Europe, there are about 400 species of land snails (colorful, wood, wooden, Algerian, etc.), and of the large number of them only a small number (about 20 species) edible. V.p. with us, also called vinogradnjak and garden snail (where his breeding is favored by the increased moisture) or white snail, (because it goes white in the sun), although it is usually home (circular, measuring 4-5 cm, with 4-5 spiral, with round hole) tan color. It feeds on leaves. Rarer causes major damage in the vineyards, and equally so rarely enforced suppression chem. preservatives (limacides). See pesticides.
In Croatia you can find this kind of snails all over Dalmacija.
