Elephant ears

Colocasia esculenta

Description:

Elephant ears like you'd see in your neighbor's garden.

Habitat:

Growing alongside a creek; hot, humid climate.

Notes:

I'm surprised to see these growing wild, as I understand Texas has had recent droughts. I've seen them in multiple locations growing near creeks now and can't help wondering how they got there to begin with.
