Little black cormorant

Phalacrocorax sulcirostris

Description:

A diving seabird with all black colors including feet and beak. Also called the little shag, it is regionally common around the coast and inland waterways.

Habitat:

On pylons around a Jetty. Watching sympathetically as local fishermen compete for dinner.

Notes:

Sharing space with another species of cormorant (P. melanoleucos)
