Great Pic., I think you might look at: Buttonbush, Cephalanthus occidentalis. Family Rebiaceae (madder). Flowers 20-3 cm, Leaves are opposite or whorled leaves are mostly 7-15 cm long. Blooms summer & fall, reportedly can be found entire state of Florida.
I've only see one on 05/24/95 on wet ground at zip code 32750.
